Jesus. You guys sometimes clearly have no idea how WL works. WL is a fictional world, nothing more, nothing less.
In an imaginary world you can interact with your tulpa.
But expecting a tulpa to live in a fictional world in parallel to you doing your stuff IRL... It leads just to confabulation and tulpa having illusion of life. They develop as a fictional character, not as a tulpa if you rely on that.
I know. But I'd rather like people to be aware of what they experience. You can still have fun while not losing your wits.

If you can't just feel going to WL, you do what you can with your limitation - you can try to imagine how your fictional world look like and imagine yourself and your tulpa doing stuff there.
Some people can immerse themselves in their imagination easier than others. But I can't do it either.
When I was a beginner, I also expected my tulpas to have their own lifes in fictional world too. But then suddenly I found out that it didn't make sense, we were just confabulating it as we expected that it must work that way.
A wonderland is a mindscape where you can shape it to your whims a lot tulpamancers use it to talk and interact with their Tulpas, Not at all do use wonderlands though.
My tulpas are in wonderland 90% of the time, and I interact with them by talking to them there, and most of the time they talk from there as well. They don't spend a lot of time "outside" with me. It's where they live, they like interacting with wonderland objects that actually can be manipulated by them. It plays a huge part in our tulpamancy
It's a gathering place, and environment in which to interact with on more equal terms and do actions (like the stereotypical hug) that are hard to do in a blind void
It's not a fictional space to us, it's a mental workspace
You wouldn't say that the voice in your head is "fictional"
It's just internal
Our wonderland is a visual internal space- yes the rules are a little different by the merit of it being internal (it being "real" doesn't mean that, for example, putting a knife into Cassidy would really injury him) but it's like how the person you see on Zoom is a real person even though it's a screen

We don't have a stable wonderland yet. We currently have fragments of the old wonderland, a few scenes, and a new experimental wonderland we're not sure what to do with. For context, we experimented a little bit by creating a hypothetical parallel wonderland based on Gray's theory on automatic wonderlands.
For us, I think the problem is we don't know what about wonderlanding we enjoy. When thinking about engineering a small theoretically parallel space, the main reason we didn't move forward was because a wonderland like that would be incredibly boring for us. After struggling to come up with rules for gravity (It was a cube but how exactly do the transition and corners work), we decided to try something else.
The new experimental wonderland is also supposed to be like a hypothetical parallel space, but it's just a wonderland for now because everyone was interested in participating in it. We assume this wonderland has different rules than normal wonderlands, and we assume any "characters" in wonderland are just characters. So far we learned that denying ourselves to materialize objects actually destabilized the wonderland rather than stabilized it, and right now the only accessible area is a relatively small stretch of grass. The rest is blocked off by Twilight (from Twilight Princess) but I don't know if we can enter (we tried already, but not the correct way).

A wonderland is just a mentally visualized space. There are no real requirements for it - though if you want to get better at visualization you should be considering it in as much detail as possible.
That's very much a matter of personal taste. People usually suggest a house or something like that, but that's a bit limiting to me. I have a straight up sci-fi paracosm built up over many many years.

And yes, think in terms of practical purposes: What are you wanting to do? Y'want a cozy domestic existence? Make a cozy domestic house. You want to do RPGs with your tulpa in a fantasy land? That fantasy land is your wonderland.

While talking to Jaeth about different taste per tulpa and host, I thought of an idea: Maybe instead of using food, have the tulpa and host eat flavored pills. After that, have either the host or tulpa come in and then while blind, taste the pills provided to them. After that, maybe have the host try the pills for good measure.
Afterwards, compare if the host and tulpa report their sense of taste consistently or not. Jaeth suggested giving time between the original test and then the tulpa/host coming back so the tulpa and host hopefully forget what they tasted

I think you should just do what your host was supposed to do before he was able to dissociate. Need to associate yourself with something, name, gender, form etc.
But... I would say the best thing to do here is just... interact with the community more often and see what you like/dislike and reinforce how you feel
